Eagle Feather Cabin is a recently renovated getaway in the heart of Lost River, West Virginia. Situated in the mountains on 120 acres with miles of hiking trails for you to explore. You’ll be close to the Lost River General Store, Lost River Yoga, Trout Pond Recreation Area, Lost River State Park, the George Washington National Forest and all that the area has to offer.

The Space

With flex space on the lower level and office space in the house plus access to a 600 square foot studio space in the barn Eagle Feather Cabin is a perfect retreat for writers, artists or musicians.  

Preference is given to monthly renters. We hope you’ll want to stay for a season or spend time on a creative retreat.

Dog friendly, one large or two small/medium dogs allowed with prior permission, a pet security deposit and an additional pet cleaning fee

  • The two upstairs bedrooms, one with a king bed, the other with a queen bed, share a full bathroom. The main floor has a fully equipped kitchen, living area, laundry alcove, a powder room, an office with a twin size sleeper sofa and a deck with a view of the woods and mountains.

  • The lower level is a carpeted flex space with a queen size futon sofa bed and a full bathroom.

  • There is fiber optic high-speed internet and wi-fi access for fun, work or to connect to your TV provider.

  • The house has a smart lock and you'll be provided with a personal passcode to lock / unlock. Past guest’s codes expire when they depart.

  • The property is equipped with motion sensor exterior security cameras. These cameras are used for security purposes only and monitored when the property is vacant. They are on 24/7, but only record video and audio when there are movements (motion-activated).

    No open bonfires permitted.

    Occasional power outages are part of the rustic charm during stormy seasons. If the lights go out, you’ll find flashlights and lanterns in the cabinet next to the laundry. When the power goes out the well pump, hot water heater and internet will be down. Just another excuse to unplug, slow down, and enjoy the quiet beauty of the forest.
